I believe in each person’s ability to return to wholeness and clarity.
I offer a combination of techniques, including traditional swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, trager, and reflexology.
My practice is varied: from chefs to athletes, from office workers to pregnant women. I also work with folks struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and grief. I help people feel more comfortable in their bodies; I help people heal themselves.
At the beginning of each session, I like to check in with each client to discuss treatment goals. This way, we can be sure that the appointment fully serves your needs.
There are several types of formats, wherein we can work on a full body massage, a specific problem area, or a combination of both. In general, I tend to focus on one or two body areas, accessing deeper muscles and releasing fascial restrictions.
I encourage clients to be actively involved in their own treatment care. Breathing, learning, and observing are important aspects of every massage. Focusing on your breathing has an incredible ability to increase awareness, increase relaxation, and help let go of pain.
In order for clients to continue their own self care at home, I often offer stretches, exercises or practices that will be helpful to add to your personal routine. I have an excellent network of other health care practitioners in the area that I can refer you to, if need be.
“Everything you need to know is within you. Listen. Feel. Trust the body’s wisdom.”
